Local-first, private iCloud sync
Projects and photos are stored on your iPhone. In Release builds when iCloud is available, supported records and photo data may synchronize through the private CloudKit database tied to your Apple account. Neon Tiger Labs cannot browse those private records.
Anonymous usage counts
The app sends anonymous counts of feature use — never photos, project names, notes, or capture dates. Settings has the off switch.
Nothing is sold
No cross-app tracking, no advertising, no data brokers. The business is the app itself.
Local recovery
If the local library ever fails to open, Itermark can reconstruct projects from photos still on disk. Private iCloud synchronization is a separate path for supported records and photo data.

What is Itermark?
Itermark is a progress camera for anything that visually changes over time. Its App Store product name is Itermark: Progress Camera, with the subtitle Before & after project photos. It keeps dated project photos in one timeline, uses a ghost overlay to help match framing, and lets you compare any two entries.
Do I need an account?
No. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to log into — open the app and start a project.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The camera, the timeline, and the reveal all run on the device, so a garage or a garden with no signal is fine. Private iCloud sync catches up when connectivity is available.
What if my photos don't line up?
The camera can show your previous photo as a translucent guide. Match the framing by eye before you shoot. Imported shots can be nudged, zoomed, and rotated after the fact.
Is it on Android?
Not today. Itermark is iPhone-only and needs iOS 18 or later. There is no web app. When iCloud is available, supported project records and photo data may sync privately through the Apple account signed in on your devices.
What happens to my projects if something goes wrong?
Projects are stored locally and, when iCloud is available, supported records and photo data may also synchronize through your private CloudKit database. Local recovery can rebuild projects from photos still on disk, and any project exports to a file you can keep or move.
