Itermark

The camera for
work in progress.

Itermark is a progress camera for anything that visually changes over time. Start a project, add a dated photo whenever you work on it — and weeks later, the change is right there to drag through.

Both shots are yours, six weeks apart. A dresser, stripped and refinished on weekends.

The whole project, not two photos of it.

Everyone else keeps two photos. Itermark keeps the whole run — every dated entry, at its true place in time — and lets you compare any two of them. The primer coat against the final finish. Last weekend against March. A series that keeps going as long as the work does.

  • Purple marks the start — the first entry in the series.
  • Gold marks the latest — wherever the work is now.
  • 3 entries · 11 wks — the rail places each photo at its true position in time, so the pace of the work is part of the picture.
Itermark's project screen for a car respray: a scrubbable before/after stage, a strip of dated thumbnails — Mar 1 chip in purple, May 19 in gold — and a time rail reading 3 entries over 11 weeks with a purple dot at the start and a gold dot at the latest entry.
The project screen: stage, strip, and the time rail beneath.

Any two entries, side by side — not only the first against the latest.

Your work, saved, without paying.

You may have met the other pattern: weeks into a project, the result renders, a progress bar fills — and saving it is the moment the paywall appears. Itermark's decision is locked the other way. The slider reveal, including Save and Share, is free forever.

The reveal on the free tier: a Mar 1 to May 19 slider with Save, Pair, and Share available, Wipe and Montage showing small lock badges, and Export set to Standard.
Free. Save, Pair, and Share open. Wipe and Montage wear the locks.
The same reveal screen with Premium: every format unlocked and Export set to HD.
Premium. The same screen unlocked — wipe, montage, Export: HD.

The promise, plainly: Premium adds the wipe video, the montage, and HD export. It never buys the right to keep what you already made — that right was free the day you started.

How it works

STEP 1

Start a project

Name it and take the first photo. That's the whole setup — no account, nothing to configure.

Mar 3
STEP 2

Add a photo whenever you work on it

A translucent ghost of your last photo sits in the viewfinder, so you can match the framing by eye. Hold to peek at the ghost alone; imported shots can be nudged, zoomed, and rotated after the fact.

The Itermark camera: a translucent ghost of the previous photo hangs over the live view, with a prompt to match the ghost and a hold-to-peek control.
STEP 3

Drag through the change

Pick any two dates and drag. Save it or share it — that part is always free.

Privacy, precisely.

Not vague promises — exactly what stays on your phone, what is sent, and what happens if things go wrong.

No accounts

There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to log into. Open the app and start a project.

Your photos stay on your device

Photos and project names live on your iPhone and go nowhere unless you share them yourself.

Anonymous usage counts

The app sends anonymous counts of feature use — never photos, never project names. Settings has the off switch.

Nothing is sold

No cross-app tracking, no advertising, no data brokers. The business is the app itself.

It rebuilds itself

If the app's library ever fails to open, it reconstructs your projects from the photos still on disk — not an empty screen.

Your projects export

Any project archives to a single file you can keep or move, wherever you keep files.

Itermark's Settings screen: a Share Usage Counts switch above the note that photos, project names, and notes stay on the device unless shared.
The off switch ships in Settings, not in fine print.

Premium, if you want it.

The slider reveal — including Save and Share — is free either way. Premium adds the wipe video, the montage, and HD export.

Questions before you start.

The short answers about accounts, offline use, framing, platforms, and what happens if things go wrong.

Do I need an account?

No. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to log into — open the app and start a project.

Does it work offline?

Yes. The camera, the timeline, and the reveal all run on the device, so a garage or a garden with no signal is fine.

What if my photos don't line up?

The ghost overlay exists to prevent that: a translucent copy of your last photo sits in the viewfinder, so you can match the framing by eye before you shoot. Imported shots can be nudged, zoomed, and rotated after the fact.

Is it on Android?

Not today. Itermark is iPhone-only and needs iOS 18 or later. There is no web app and no sync between devices.

What happens to my projects if something goes wrong?

They stay on your device either way. If the app's library ever fails to open, it rebuilds your projects from the photos still on disk instead of showing an empty screen. And any project — a car restoration, a renovation, a furniture flip — exports to a file you can keep or move.
